My writing philosophy is pretty simple. We live stories every day. Some people just choose to write them down tinted (and sometimes saturated) with healthy doses of hyperbole.
I am an author of books for children. I was born and raised along the mighty Mississippi in Bettendorf, Iowa. I currently live and work in Iowa City, Iowa with my wife and an ornery terrier named Bernie. My books are targeted for middle grade readers (roughly ages 8-12), though they have been described by reviewers as reads for "all ages." Explore the links at left to learn more about me and my work.
